Some of our Prime Timers in Pigeon
Forge
The Prime Timers organization
represents the senior ministry of McFarland United Methodist Church. They
meet once a month on the third Tuesday of each month. Meetings are usually
held in the Fellowship Hall except for certain special meetings/events during
the year. Periodically, the group makes special trips to places of
interest in the South. Prime Timers witness projects include support of
the Rossville Food Bank and Family Crisis Center. We support both of these
programs each month. Our monthly meetings consist of fellowship and of
course some "great food" and a program. Programs may consist of guest
speakers, guest musicians or a program by one of our members, or some fun
activity that the entire group gets to participate in. We have excellent
attendance and fellowship and are one of the most active groups in the church.
You do not have to be a 'senior citizen" to participate. We cordially
invite you to come and join us each month. New Officers for 2008:
The nominating
committee presented new officers at the January meeting. The President is Fred
Farr and the Secretary is Frances Farr. The Treasurer is Myna Jo Castings.
Congratulations to the new officers.
